Brodie Harper and Heath Meldrum are making the Great Ocean Road Running Festival a family affair.
Their daughter Jess is taking part in the 1.5km Kids’ Gallop alongside dad Heath, while Harper is tackling the Garmin 14km Run.
“We’re a competitive family and you just want to beat your own times” Harper said. “After one of my marathons, Jess said “I’m going to run a marathon one day like you, Mummy”. “Heath is really looking forward to doing it with her”.
The Great Ocean Road Running Festival features seven running events & a range of FREE activities including a kite festival, film festival, live music, wellness program & lots more.
The event takes place on May 19 & 20 across Lorne & Apollo Bay with more than 7000 participants expected.
“I can’t wait to do it, what a beautiful scenic run it will be” Harper said.
