If running just isn’t your thing, the 5km/10km Walk is perfect for those who want to join in on the Festival’s fun. Starting in Lorne, follow your way along the Great Ocean Road and decide on the day whether you want to turn around at the 2.5km mark (walking a total of 5km), or continuing on and turning around at the 5km mark (walking a total of 10km).
This exclusive opportunity allows you to safely walk along the vehicle-free Great Ocean Road. Soak in the breathtaking Southern Ocean views and fresh air. A calming and rejuvenating walk for all ages!

Race Bib Distribution
Australian Competitors
- Race bib are only posted to those who register prior to 11.59pm February 21st and provide an Australian address on their registration. If for any reason your Race Bib does not arrive, a replacement bib can be collected from the Race Week Office. Please note, if you enter the Event between 12:00am on Feb 21st, 2024 and 11:59pm on April 17, you will have the option of paying for priority postage or collection from the event race offices (Lorne and Apollo Bay) during race office hours. Registering from 12:00am Wednesday April 18 onwards, means you will be required to pick up/collect your Event race pack from the Event race office prior to the commencement of the Event.
International Competitors
All international competitors are required to collect their packs from the Race Week Office.

There will be drink stations along the 5km/10km Great Ocean Road Walk.

Race day bus information
A shuttle bus service will run from Apollo Bay to Lorne to get walkers to the start line on Sunday 21st May.
A return bus will travel from Lorne back to Apollo Bay after the event.
You will be required to purchase a bus pass ($15 charge) to enable you on these buses. This must be purchased during the online event registration process.
