There are a small amount of road closures within Apollo Bay, with short detours in place. This will not affect your entering or departing Apollo Bay.
please note 2025 information to be provided closer to event date
Sunday Bus Service
The Great Ocean Road will be closed to traffic from 7:00am to 2:30pm on Sunday 18 May. We strongly suggest using our Shuttle Bus Service to get to and from the Ultra, Marathon, and Half Marathon start and finish lines.
If you have not yet purchased a bus pass and need one, please follow these instructions to add one to your registration. Bus passes purchased after April 5 will need to be collected from either of our Race Week Offices.
We offer a warm clothing service for the Half, Full and Ultra Marathon events.
There is a tear off section on your bib that you will be able to attach to your bag for identification.
A warm clothing truck will be situated at both the Half Marathon start line (Kennett River) and the Full/Ultra Marathon start line (Lorne). Bring your warm clothing inside your own waterproof bag to this truck, and it will be re-located to the finish line (Apollo Bay) for you to come and collect post-race.
The Great Ocean Road will be completely closed between Lorne and Skenes Creek (traffic will be under escort between Skenes Creek and Apollo Bay) from 7am on Sunday May 18.
We encourage all spectators to be in Apollo Bay before the road closes at 7am to avoid the Great Ocean Road closure and ensure you see your runner finish.
