High Sierra 12km Trail Run

Start in Lorne and run along the iconic Great Ocean Road before following Tramway Track into the Great Otway National Park. Get in touch with nature as you take on forest filled tracks of eucalypt and fern towards Phantom Falls. Trail back along St Georges River before returning to the Lorne Foreshore to cross that finishing arch.

Race Bib Distribution

Australian Competitors

  • Race bib are only posted to those who register prior to 11.59pm February 21st and provide an Australian address on their registration. If for any reason your Race Bib does not arrive, a replacement bib can be collected from the Race Week Office. Please note, if you enter the Event between 12:00am on Feb 21st, 2024 and 11:59pm on April 17, you will have the option of paying for priority postage or collection from the event race offices (Lorne and Apollo Bay) during race office hours. Registering from 12:00am Wednesday April 18 onwards, means you will be required to pick up/collect your Event race pack from the Event race office prior to the commencement of the Event.

International Competitors
All international competitors are required to collect their bibs from the Race Week Office

Drink Stations

There will be 3 drink stations throughout the High Sierra 12km Trail Run at the 1.7km, 7.7km and 11.5km marks.

Please be advised that this will be a self-service refillable drink station. A refillable hydration pack/belt is required if you wish to use the drink stations.

Water and Sport drink will be provided at the drink stations.

Race Day Bus Information

*Please note, Shuttle Bus services may only be required if you are coming from Apollo Bay. If you are coming from Melbourne you will not be affected by the Great Ocean Road road closures. You will be able to drive straight into and out of Lorne. 

A shuttle bus service will run from Apollo Bay to Lorne to get participants to the start line on Sunday 19 May.

A return bus will travel from Lorne back to Apollo Bay after the event.

You will be required to purchase a bus pass to enable you on these buses. This must be purchased during the online event registration process.
